“Yoga is first of all seeking knowledge, an inquiry into the truth of life, self, god and the universe. It is a way of meditation that requires the mind dwell in a state of peaceful observation to discover truth, not by thought but by perception.” ~ David Frawley
Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga is for anyone interested in practicing slowing down, softening, letting go, paying attention to nuances, and trusting their body's intuitive intelligence. We oscillate between slow movement and longer moments of stillness in asana. At the same time, we play with meditative awareness of the bones, fascial pathways, breath, emotions, and our bodies’ relationship to space. This kind of explorative practice often leads to nervous system recalibration and the processing of undigested life experience accumulated in the body.
Prenatal Yoga is a practice devoted to supporting you physically, mentally, and emotionally through the changes you experience throughout your pregnancy, as well as helping you prepare for the birth of your baby and your postpartum healing. In this practice, breathwork, vocal toning, and slow dynamic movements set the pace. An emphasis will be placed on listening to your body’s instinctual intelligence and becoming familiar with the territory of your pelvis.
All stages of pregnancy are welcome.
